Why do you sometimes wake Maya up?

Because Maya would sleep forever 😴
Since she can’t hear alarms or everyday sounds, she might oversleep. We gently wake her for meals, playtime, or cuddles.

Why are white cats like Maya more likely to be deaf?

White cats with certain genetics have a higher chance of being born deaf.
It’s linked to pigmentation not lifestyle or care. Maya is a perfect example of that.
